Play2Review, Earn Money by Testing Games (Review)
Play2Review is a playtesting platform that connects independent game developers with players willing to test games before release and provide detailed feedback. Instead of earning rewards by simply downloading or reaching in-game milestones, users are paid for completing real playtesting sessions, recording their gameplay, and submitting constructive reviews that help developers improve their titles. The platform primarily focuses on indie PC games, although some browser and mobile projects may also become available depending on the developer's requirements.
Some paid playtests require participants to play for around 30 minutes while recording both their screen and voice commentary. After completing the session, testers submit the video together with a structured feedback form describing bugs, gameplay issues, user experience, and their overall impressions. Rather than paying directly in cash for each completed task, Play2Review uses an internal virtual currency called Sparks. Approved playtests reward a fixed number of Sparks that can later be exchanged for real money.
How to Sign up for Play2Review and Set up your Account
Getting started with Play2Review is a straightforward process and only takes a few minutes. However, since developers manually select testers for many playtesting opportunities, taking the time to complete your profile accurately can significantly increase your chances of being accepted.
First, visit the Play2Review website and click Sign Up. You can create an account using a valid email address and choose a secure password. After submitting the registration form, Play2Review sends a verification email. Open the message and click the verification link before logging in for the first time: Play2Review - Game Intelligence Platform
Once your account has been activated, you'll be asked to complete your player profile. This is one of the most important steps because developers use this information when selecting participants for their playtests. Your profile should include your country of residence, native language, age, gaming experience, and the types of games you usually play, such as action, RPG, strategy, simulation, horror, or casual games.
